Welcome to the Paul Grech Column -
Paul Grech is a Liverpool fan from Malta who will have his own exclusive column on Walk On. A qualified accountant by profession, Paul is one of those unfortunate Liverpool fans who started supporting the club during the late eighties, when the club’s glory days were coming to a (hopefully temporary) end.

Rather than diminishing his passion, the success barren nineties fuelled his commitment towards the Reds.

Paul has unfortunately experienced the heartbreak of seeing his team lose the league on the last day of the season twice. The first occasion came thanks to Michael Thomas’ goal in the dying seconds of the 1988-89 season. On the second occasion, it was his other love, local Maltese team Birkirkara who had the misfortune of losing out on the final day in 1997-98. As from the start of the current season, Paul has been giving his views in a weekly column for Birkirkara's official site.
