5.10.03  Houllier: Arsenal were more clinical

Gerard Houllier could not believe his side left Anfield empty handed yesterday after having dominated for long stretches of the game.

The Liverpool boss claimed: "They were more clinical than us on the day. We had more chances than them and their goalkeeper had to make more saves than ours did, but we didn't get what we deserved.

"We could have had the game finished off at half time but then we had a 20 minute blip in the second half when they played well and caused us problems. Of course, it was a wonderful goal which won it for them.

"We have to keep going and keep believing in what we are doing. I'm happy with the performance today but very disappointed with the result."
