16.8.05  Pongolle on target but reserves lose mini-derby

Liverpool reserves lost their first match of the new season against Everton tonight.

Florent Sinama Pongolle, on as a second half substitute, and Danny Guthrie scored Liverpool's goals in a 3-2 defeat.

The Reds starting line-up was as follows:
Willis, Barragan, Peltier, O'Donnell, Whitbread, Hobbs, Wilkie, Guthrie, Godwin, Mannix, Hammill

Subs: Sinama-Pongolle, Roberts, Josemi, Woods, Frayne, Foy.
