2.4.04  We have eight Cup finals: Boss

Gerard Houllier said his players are totally focused on their remaining eight Cup finals from now till the end of the season. If the Reds win all the coming matches, they are assured of playing Champions League football next season.

Houllier said: "We have eight cup finals now and five of them are at home so we will do everything we can to get the fourth place and try and increase the points on our rivals.

"I do think it is not a good time to be playing teams that are fighting for survival in the Premiership. You could see that when we played Wolves and when we played against Leicester when they were fighting for their lives.

"I am quite happy with our form and we have a good record of attempts at goal which shows you we do try and score goals. We still have to play Newcastle and Charlton at home and I think the Birmingham game will be interesting.

Aston Villa are still fighting for fourth place as well so we know what we have to do."
